Are Huskers really in contention for College Football Playoff berth?

The No. 18 Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-2) are still far behind in the pecking order when it comes to the College Football Playoff. The Huskers moved up one spot from last week. With two games left, the Huskers have a chance to reclaim their spot in the Top 10, but they’ll need a lot of things to go right.

First of all, Nebraska has to win their two remaining games. They host the Maryland Terrapins on senior day. They also travel to Iowa for the season finale a day after Thanksgiving. With both of their losses coming against Top 10 opponents, the Huskers have an opportunity to win 10 games. Additionally, they might be fortunate enough to participate in the Big Ten Championship game.
