Chicago Bears Mock Draft 1.0 Post-Senior Bowl

College football season is finally over and now it's time for NFL teams to scout players for the 2017 NFL Draft, that is in three months. The Chicago Bears was recently coaching the Senior Bowl and was impressed with many of the prospects that played in the Senior Bowl. The Bears may not have many areas to improve on, so but their biggest need is to have playmakers on their secondary defense. Here my 1.0 Chicago Bears NFL Mock Draft.

st Round: DE Jonathan Allen. If it was up to me I would draft Malik Hooker because he is a playmaker. He is fast, athletic, and have great ball skills, but Ryan Pace is most likely going to draft Jonathan Allen because he can uplift the pass-rush and he can help Akiem Hicks on the other side to give pressure to the quarterback. He totaled 28.5 sacks in his career in Alabama. If you look at his film, he has a very good football IQ and is fast and strong.

nd Round: CB Cordrea Tankersley. He stands 6 feet tall and has great ball skills. He could lock-down receivers. Due to several other players in the draft, he could probably fall in the early-mid 2nd round. He could be CB2 for the Bears. With him, the Bears could have a triple threat cornerback with Kyle Fuller and Tracy Porter (if healthy).

rd Round: WR Zay Jones. He was very impressive in Senior Bowl. Alshon Jeffery might not come back next season and the Bears can't rely on Kevin White to be consistent for next season. Adding Zay Jones could make a good receiving core with Cameron Meredith and Kevin White (if healthy). He can make tough catches and is pretty fast. He leads the FBS all-time reception record with 399 receptions.

th Round: S Lorenzo Jerome. He is very underrated safety coming from a small university called St.Francis. He is a productive player with tremendous ball skills. He impress coaches in the Senior Bowl game with 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble finishing with MVP honors. He could a be a steal in the 2017 NFL Draft.

th Round: CB Channing Stribling. He is very solid cornerback that has great height, standing 6'2. He has quick feet and stay in front of receivers and he has good ball skills.

th Round: QB Nathan Peterman. He could probably be the Chicago Bears future quarterback for the next 10 years. He is a very underrated quarterback and also finished his college career 47 touchdowns with 5,236 passing yards. He has a decent accuracy and get rid of the ball pretty quickly.

th Round: Traded to the Texans for TE Kahari Lee in 2015

th Round: S Nathan Gerry. He is could be a good playmaker. He has excellent ball skills and good size standing 6-2. He finished his college career with 12 interceptions and 19 passess broken-up.
