Chicago Bears Mock Draft 2.0
The NFL Draft is 2 1/2 months away and the Chicago Bears have many direction to go with for the 3rd overall pick. In my last mock draft, I predicted that the Chicago Bears will DE Jonathan Allen because he can boast the pass-rush. In my 2.0 mock draft, I predict that the Bears will draft Jamal Adams because he is a playmaker and also is the best safety in the 2017 NFL Draft.
1st Round: S Jamal Adams. He has everything I want from a safety. He's good in coverage, has great ball skills, and he can also tackle. The Bears need a guy like him, so that they can uplift the secondary.
2nd Round: OT Garett Bolles. He played left tackle in college and he is pretty good at it. He has a left-tackle NFL potential. He can the answer for the Chicago Bears offensive line issues. They should Hroniss Garu at center, Cody Whitehair at right tackle, Kyle Long at right guard, Josh Sitton at left guard, and Garett Bolles at left tackle. That could be a pretty guard offensive line.
3rd Round: WR Zay Jones. Alshon Jeffery might not come back next season and you can't rely on Kevin White to be productive next season. Adding Zay Jones to the roster can make a decent receiving core with Meredith, Jones, and hopefully Kevin White (or another wide receiver that is willing to step-up.
4th Round: QB Nathan Peterman. He is a very young quarterback that the Chicago Bears can develop, so he can be our future quarterback. He is good pocket-passer and has a quick release.
4th Round: CB Channing Stribling. He has a great height standing 6'2. He is great lockdown corner with good speed and length. He could give an upgrade to the cornerback position.
5th Round: DE Hunter Dimick. He was great in college finishing with 28 1/2 sacks and finishing 4th as the nation's sacks leader. He can help Akiem Hicks on the other side to give pressure to the quarterback.
7th Round: S Tony Annese. He is most-likely one of the best option available when reaching to the last round of the draft. His college career is pretty solid and he has good height standing 6 feet tall. He could add competition for the starting role against Adrian Amos.
