Pat Mahomes promoted on the depth chart

After playing in his first ever NFL game, the number 10 overall pick has already been promoted on the depth chart. That is right, Pat Mahomes is now......on the second team. Of course the 21 year old has not done enough to dethrone starter Alex Smith, but he has done more than enough to unseat Tyler Bray getting second team snaps. This means Pat Mahomes will enter the game earlier on Saturday night against the Bengals. He will face at least second teamers and even some starters on the Bengals defense. In his first game on Friday night against the 49ers the gunslinger went 7-for-9 for 49-yards, and a touchdown.

Andy Reid said of the move to make Mahomes the second string quarterback was earned, and his chance to play with the twos, but it was not due to bad play from Tyler Bray.

This move was expected by myself, fans, and the media. But for it to come so soon is interesting.
