Gonzaga Advances to The Final Four

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-West Regional-Gonzaga vs Xavier

Well there it is folks. The "Sure they're good but they always choke in March" is dead for Gonzaga. The Zags topped Xavier 83-59 to win the West regional. One of the most consistent programs in the sport since 1999, they finally get over the hump and are headed to Phoenix. After a quiet tournament, Nigel Williams Goss led the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. On the other side, Xavier's magical run came to an end as star player Trevon Bluiett had far and away the worst game of a tournament where he averaged 25 ppg, only posting 10 points on 3/14 shooting. Mark Few has long been one of the best coaches to not reach a Final Four, now he's solidified himself as one of the best coaches in the game period. Few and Williams Goss will lead the Zags to Phoenix to meet the winner of an all SEC Elite Eight as Florida takes on South Carolina tomorrow.
