One-loss Buckeyes are nation's top team
As the college football season reached its midway point, Sports Talk From Top To Bottom is taking a look at who the nation’s Top 25 football teams are. We are using GamePlan Magazines power ranking system to come up with our Top 25. In some cases, a team’s opponent was not included in GamePlan’s power ranking system so we gave those programs a 110 power ranking each week in order to calculate the power ranking of those programs that are included in these rankings.
Feel free to throw your thoughts in on these rankings. A team’s power ranking is a season-long accumulation of points, so these rankings may change dramatically from week to week. On the line next to each school is that school’s overall record, it’s scoring differential and the school’s power ranking. In order to be considered for the Top 25 a school had to acquire a power ranking of 120 or above. Those schools that did earn a 120 power ranking, but did not score high enough t gain a spot in the Top 25, are included in the ‘Other Contenders’ portion of our rankings.
