Wrigleyville Bars are Skyrocketing Cover Charges for the World Series

Wrigley Field isn't the only place upping admission prices for the World Series. Bars in Chicago are getting their slice of the pie as well.

Deuce's has a $250 cover charge, or $500 for a table. John Barleycorn is offering the same prices and are already sold out for game 4. Old Crow Barbeque is charging a $225 cover. The world famous Cubby Bear is charging a $100 cover. Casey Moran's is charging $500 for a table.
Not everyone is charging an arm and leg. Yak-Zies has a $25 cover or a $50/hour rate for a table. Though that could get expensive during a 4 hour game. Rockit Burger has a $40 cover or $100 for a table.
Some bars have decided not to have a cover charge, but some of that is likely to change as they're seeing lines outside hours before first pitch. And fans of Chicago have shown they won't spare a dime to get the full experience of potential history.
Good old American capitalism.
