Mariners Daily 3/16

Well it was a much better day today for the Mariners who defeated the Kansas City Royals 9-2. Chase De Jong had his best outing in a M's uniform so far this spring going 4.0 innings allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned while walking one and striking out 1. After him the bullpen shut out the Royals allowing just 1 hit while combining to strikeout 8!

Offensively multiple different Mariners had good days at the plate. Overall the M's had 9 runs off of 13 hits and had a total of 22 Runners in scoring position. The Mariners could have easily scored some more runs considering they were only 5-22 RISP and had 13 LOB.

Defensively the Mariners committed yet another error. This time it was on the pitcher De Jong, but it s just something you don't want to see as a fan or a coach/manager.
