A Record Breaking Night In Montreal

Carey Price has become the first goalie in NHL history to win the first 10 games of the season.

For those individuals who have been living under a rock, the Montreal Canadiens are the hottest team in the National Hockey League (NHL) right now.

Last night in front of their home crowd at the Bell Centre, the Habs. blanked the Detroit Red Wings 5-0.

The Canadiens have a record of 13-1-1.  This matches the records of both the 1979-80 Philadelphia Flyers and the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres.

Last night's win was the Hab's 10th straight win at home and that's not all.

Canadien's goalie, Carey Price became the first net minder in NHL history to win the first 10 games of the season.

What a difference a year makes.

Of course, Price got injured at the first half of the season and sat out for the rest of the year.

Without Price, Montreal struggled on the ice.

Hopefully, Price stays healthy because if he doesn't, Montreal is going to be in trouble.

There's no question in my mind that Price is the cornerstone of the team.
