The LA Rams need to sign Desean Jackson

The LA Rams have an underwhelming offense, to say the least. They don't have a legitimate #1 WR threat, there's nothing special about the offensive line, and Todd Gurley did not have any room to run all season. Add that to the fact that Case Keenum was named a starter, over #1 pick Jared Goff, hindering his development, as well as just keeping the Rams as a stagnant team, not really moving in any direction. Now, I don't believe Jackson will change the dynamic of the Rams, as WR is far from the only position the team needs help in, but he's a key start to the changes needed in Los Angeles.

He still has the speed that made him almost unstoppable in his early years in the league, which has helped Kirk Cousins in Washington develop into a legit starting QB. He can take the top off any defense, forcing them to worry about him on any given play, which could and should open up more running room for Todd Gurley. In his 3rd year, Todd Gurley will need all the help he can get if he wants to replicate his success in his rookie year compared to his down second year.

Jackson will automatically slide in as the #1, which again, I don't think is the final answer to all the Rams' problems, but it's a start. Kenny Britt, while not a very good #1 in my opinion, came out of this past season with 68 catches for 1002 yards and 5 touchdowns, which is very respectable, especially given the QB situation. If the Rams put Jackson next to Britt and further develop Goff, I believe this signing can be a huge help to the Rams offense and could potentially start the identity change the team so desperately needs.
