Rams office playing fantasy football during NFL O-season

General manager of the Los Angeles Rams Les Snead wakes up every day, looks in the mirror and has two priorities:

1. How`s his hair look?

2. Which trade can he make today that will cause the sports media and fans to drool over the team`s 2018 defense on paper?

The L.A. Rams have paved the way for NFL teams should be doing in the offseason who need to win. There`s no doubt about it, Snead and Head Coach Sean McVay are treating a professional NFL team like it`s their own personal fantasy football roster.

The swoof haired rock star of GM is averaging one blockbuster trade every 4.6 days since the afternoon of February 23.

This is fantasy football made into reality. It most likely comes at the expense of former head coach Jeff Fisher incompetence to coach and a surprising upstart season made true in 2017 - with the players Fishers selected (hint the incompetence).

All it took was the right hire in a young offensive minded whisperer head coach and alot of hair gel, along with the best defensive head coach known as the great Wade Phillips. He`s not as great with his twitter account though.

The Rams are in a win now manifest. Snead has crafted the art of bargain hunting toward great value via insane trades resulting in draft pick stockpiles and pro-bowl defenders with manageable multi-year contracts.

This is the result of hiring the best coach to get the most out of young first-overall draft pick QB in Jared Goff. The Rams have seemingly found lighting in a bottle with Goff`s rookie contract, allowing them longevity. The front office is crunching the numbers and capitalizing on talent with through these trades while freeing up cap space in order to lock up the league`s best defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

The offense already built (for now) through previous draft picks in running back Todd Gurley and wide receiver Cooper Kupp, additional last year`s free agent signing in resurging WR Robert Woods and left tackle Andrew Whitworth; the Rams have the ability to focus on creating a young defense with great transition toward the near future.

The Rams recent collection of cornerbacks Marcus Peters, Sam Shields and Aquib Talib has probably aligned the best trio of cornerbacks in the league. All three CBs combine for the same salary accumulation of what it would cost to retain the services of stud CB Trumaine Johnson.

The front office has done some liquidation at the expense of the team`s pass rush and linebacker core. Recently, the Rams sent All-Pro pass rusher Robert Quinn and LB Alec Ogletree packing.

However, there is balance in these moves. The Rams are acquiring top talent in trades, but freeing cap space and defensive players that do not really fit Phillips scheme, for a stack of draft picks.

The draft is loaded with linebackers and edge rushers this year, Snead has probably taken notice and decided to read the writing on the wall - -which is free up salary, lock up Donald, maximize physical talent for value, all while continuing to load up on draft picks. Right now- pending any more trades—the Rams have nine draft picks going into this year`s draft.

The defense will most likely continue to be a priority, however, Snead should think about backup`s and rotational players to preserve franchise QB Goff and RB Gurley.

Obviously, an impending mega contract of Donald on the horizon, I would be surprised to see Snead dump money in free-agency. But something tells me he-McVay-Phillips will be able to lure players to fill specific roles for a good price.

Again, Snead has used the charisma of McVay, the genius of Phillips, the glamour of L.A., and the promise of a potential powerhouse…and maybe dynasty to pull the trigger on some of the most jaw-dropping acquisitions and a draft pick storage in recent history.

Two years after a dismal franchise relocated back to their hometown from St. Louis, somehow the front office has been able to throw some fairy dust on this roster, the salary cap, wish upon on a star and create a powerhouse team on paper; and yes this team on (whom was less on paper) was 11-5 last year.

I guess that`s Hollywood Baby!!

Hair Gel, Gold Chains, Penalty Flags, and Twitter will soon be trending on Sundays this falls in the City of Angels.
