25 Teams In 25 Days: Our Savior Lutheran Falcons (National)

25 Teams In 25 Days: Hoop Dreams NYC's 2017=18 High School Hoops Preview

Key additions: Dashawn Davis

Players to Watch: Dashawn Davis, Max Amadasun, Posh Alexander, Jared Rhoden

The Our Savior Lutheran Basketball program has four teams JV, Varsity Regional Postgrad, and their varsity national team. All teams are worth watching but one team that may be the most intriguing is the national team.

The varsity national team consists of players from the Tri-State such as Posh Alexander a 5-10 sophomore point guard from Brooklyn, Seton Hall-bound wing Jared Rhoden from Long Island, and newcomer Dashawn Davis a 6-2 shooting guard from the Bronx who recently played at Wings Academy and Positive day school in North Carolina. Davis gives the falcons another offensive threat that can create matchup nightmares for their opponents.

The Falcons will be playing 40 games this season and they will be playing some of the top teams in the nation such as Westtown School, Vermont Academy, St. Benedict’s prep and others. The falcons are part of the Great Atlantic Conference which features some of the top prep schools in the east coast.

2017-18 Outlook

With the grueling national schedule that Our Savior Lutheran has, its a sure thing that it could prepare them for winning their conference title in March. The falcons have depth and they can compete with a lot of teams in the country. This season will be big for the Falcons as they look to prove that they are one of the best prep programs in the country.
