The Lavery Ledger - Volume 1 (CFB Edition)

GOOOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!!!,

Or the United States or whoever is smart enough to read this...

Welcome to the first edition of the Lavery Ledger.  It is here where you will be blessed with insight to some of the best sports bets of the week, as stated by a self-proclaimed betting genius.  But who cares?  If I am right, you'll come back.  If I am wrong, well, I won't, so you're in luck.

The lock of the week in college football is Wake Forest -6.  Wake Forest has quietly turned in a exemplary performance thus far in the season.  Their only losses are at NC State (who have been decent in their own right), and at FSU, a perennial powerhouse, who, after a rough start to the season, have found their feet after simplifying their defense and letting the athletes they have react instead of thinking.

Back to Wake Forest...  They are coming off a bye week, and they may get their starting QB, Kendall Hinton, back after being injured this past month.  While backup QB John Walford has been more than serviceable as a replacement, Head Coach Dave Clawson has stated that Hinton will return as starter when healthy.  Considering the job that Clawson has done taking the dormant Deamon Deacons to a 5-2 start, it is reasonable to expect Clawson to know what hes doing.

Again, Wake Forest is coming off a bye week.  After what was a physical game 2 weeks ago vs. the Seminoles, the Deacons have had more than enough time to prepare for victory.  Army is coming off a 4 game stretch in which they have dropped 3 of their last 4, including a loss to Buffalo, of who is arguably the worst team in Division 1.  This past week, Army was a 17.5 point favorite at home vs North Texas, and found themselves down 17 when the clock struck 0:00.

In all, you should smash your piggy bank, empty your wallet, rob your bank (on second thought, dont), or ask your parents for a loan, and throw it all on Wake Forest!  Wake wins by 17.

Look out for the next edition of the Lavery Ledger in the next few days.
