Nazem Kadri Will Not Face Discipline for Sedin Hit

Just to follow up on the action in Toronto last night, it is being reported that Nazem Kadri will not face supplementary discipline for his blindside hit on Daniel Sedin.

This comes as a surprise to me; I thought for sure Kadri would get at least a few games.  It looked like a pretty clear head shot from the blindside, but I guess the league determined Kadri got enough of Sedin's body before making head contact.  Since that is the case, the head was not the principal point of contact, saving Kadri from a suspension.  I'm sure Vancouver is absolutely furious with the league's decision, but after watching the hit numerous times, it appears to be the right call.  You can watch the video and decide for yourself.

The two teams meet again on December 3rd, and it certainly will be an interesting matchup.
