Cleveland Must Pray they Don't Play Chicago In Playoffs

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a slump, but that shouldn't be there biggest fear right now. Cleveland's biggest fear should be if they have to play the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

They will automatically be put on upset alert. Cleveland has lost their last seven out of eight games to the Bulls, including Chicago sweeping the season series 4-0. They look defeated every time they play them. Cleveland is going through the motions against them rather than competing hard.

The good news is if the season ended today, Chicago would miss the playoffs and Cleveland wouldn't have to fear them in the east. The Cavaliers were mainly healthy for all four games and lost convincingly.

If the playoffs started right now, the Cavs would play the Miami Heat. Yes the Miami Heat have beaten them twice in the regular season, but one game was where the big 3 sat out and the other one was a close battle where it looked like Cleveland wanted to be there.

They could also play the Indiana Pacers in the first round, who Cleveland has beaten twice this season or the Milwaukee Bucks, who Cleveland beat three times.

Cleveland doesn't look lost and deflated. Heck even against the upper echelon teams of the eastern conference they don't look scared. The Cavaliers won the season series against the Washington Wizards 2-1.

The Cavaliers have beaten the Boston Celtics twice and lost a very close competitive game. They play each other one more time.

Cleveland has also defeated the Toronto Raptors three times this season. They play each other one more time.

If Cavaliers fans are afraid they won't get back to the finals, don't fret they should be alright as long as they don't face the Chicago Bulls.
