Cubs Curse is Over; Wins World Series in Extra Innings

The last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series was 1908, and the theme for Chicago was there's always next year. They can put that all aside now because they defeated the Cleveland Indians 8 to 7 in 10 innings in Game 7 of the World Series. The Cubs came back from a 3-1 deficit in the series.
Ben Zobrist was named World Series MVP and he hit the go-ahead double in the 10th inning for the Cubs. Miguel Montero also added an insurance run in the 10th for the Cubs. This was after a short rain delay.
In the very first at bat of the game for Chicago, Dexter Fowler homered. Cleveland tied the game at 1 in the third-inning on a Carlos Santana RBI single.
In the fourth inning, Addison Russell and Wilson Contreras each had an RBI for Chicago. In the fifth inning, Javier Baez homered and Anthony Rizzo hit an RBI.
Corey Kluber was the starter for the Indians and he only pitched 4 innings and gave 6 hits and 4 runs. He didn't strike out a batter.
In the bottom of the fifth inning with two outs, Kyle Hendricks was pulled from the game in favor of Jon Lester. When Lester came in he threw a wild pitch and that resulted in two runs for the Indians.
The very next inning for the Cubs, David Ross hit a home-run.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Aroldis Chapman came in the game, and he got rocked. Brandon Guyer hit an RBI double. Rajai Davis tied the game on a 2-run homer. This all occurred with 2 outs in the inning.
Davis also hit another RBI with 2 outs in the bottom of the tenth-inning. Michael Martinez would ground out to Kris Bryant and the Cubs would start to celebrate.
Chapman was the winning pitcher. He pitched 1.1 innings and gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. He also struck out 2 batters.
Bryan Shaw was the losing pitcher. He pitched 1 inning and gave up 3 hits and 2 runs. He also walked 2 batters and struck out 1.
Mike Montgomery recorded the save for the Cubs.
