Falcons Hold Off Buccaneers

With four seconds remaining, Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Patrick Murray missed a 54-yard field goal and the Atlanta Falcons held off the Buccaneers 24-21. With this Falcons win, it has officially eliminated the Green Bay Packers from playoff contention.

Justin Hardy caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan in the first quarter. Hardy finished with two receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown. Ryan completed 17-of-31 passes for 212 yards and one touchdown. Ryan also rushed for 29 yards on three carries. Later in the first, O.J. Howard caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Jameis Winston.

In the second quarter, the Falcons scored a touchdown on a Levine Toilolo fumble recovery. With Tampa Bay down 17-7 in the third, Mike Evans caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Mike Evans. Evans finished with five receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown.

In the fourth quarter, Devonta Freeman scored on a 32-yard touchdown run for the Falcons. He finished with 126 rushing yards on 22 carries and a touchdown. Freeman also caught five passes for 68 yards receiving.

Adam Humpries caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Jameis Winston in the fourth for Tampa Bay. Humpries finished with five receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Winston completed 27-of-35 passes for 299 yards and three touchdowns. Winston also rushed for 18 yards on three carries.

The Falcons will be on the road against the New Orleans Saints (10-4) next Sunday and the Buccaneers will be on the road against the Carolina Panthers (10-4) next Sunday.
