Sean Couturier's goal 5:57 into the third-period helped the Philadelphia Flyers beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-3.

Dale Weise scored a goal for the Flyers in the first. With less than two seconds remaining in the first-period, Martin Frk scored a power-play goal for the Red Wings.

Mike Green scored a power-play goal for the Red Wings at the start of the second period. Wayne Simmonds scored a power-play goal for the Flyers later in the second-period for the Flyers. Not to much later, Gustav Nyquist scored for Detroit. Robert Hagg scored his first career goal later in the period for Philadelphia.

Jimmy Howard made 27 saves for the Red Wings. Brian Elliott made 25 saves for the Flyers. Philadelphia has now won their past seven out of eight games. These two teams will meet each other two more times this season.
