One Month Into Season, Cleveland Cavaliers Sizzling

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been racing out of the gates since opening night. They are 13-3 and sit in first place in the eastern conference. Head Coach Tyron Lue has them playing a transition game. As a team, they are averaging 111.3 PPG but have given up 103.8 PPG.

Lebron James is averaging 23.5 PPG 8.1 RPG and 9.3 APG. He also has 3 triple-doubles on the season. Kyrie Irving is averaging 24.5 PPG and 4.5 APG. Kevin Love is averaging 21.8 PPG and 10.9 RPG. He currently has 12 double-doubles on the season.

Once again, Tristan Thompson is a major factor on the offensive glass. He is averaging 3.2 offensive rebounds per game. His energy and key rebounds allows the Cavs to get extra possessions. J.R. Smith is only averaging 8.5 PPG, and he will pick up the pace at some point.

Channing Frye is possibly an early candidate for sixth man of the year. He can stretch the floor for this team. Frye will knock down 3 pointers and play good defense. He is averaging 11.3 PPG and 3.1 RPG.

In the month of December, they have quality games on the schedule like the Los Angeles Clippers (Dec.1), Chicago Bulls (Dec.2), Toronto Raptors (Dec.5), and Golden State Warriors (Dec.25). It is also possible Lebron James misses a couple games this month for rest as well.

They are playing with swagger right now, and they need to keep challenging themselves.
