Penguins Dominate; Murray Posts Shutout

You can either play down to the level of your opponent or respect them and dominate the game. With the Arizona Coyotes being one of the worst teams in the NHL this season, the Pittsburgh Penguins took advantage of it in a 7 to 0 win.

The Penguins dominated from start to finish. Scott Wilson scored in the first-period for the Penguins. At the end of the first-period, Sidney Crosby got hit with a stick and went into the locker room. He went under concussion protocol for the second straight game.

He wasn't on the bench to start the second-period, but he did eventually return to the bench. Nick Bonino, Trevor Daley, and Bryan Rust scored in a span of four minutes. That is when the Arizona Coyotes decided to pull Mike Smith from the game, who had 18 saves, in favor of Louis Domingue who made 9 saves in relief. Sidney Crosby scored his 21st goal of the season late in the second-period.

Phil Kessel and Justin Schultz scored for Pittsburgh in the third-period. Matt Murray posts his third career regular season shutout and fourth overall. He made 32 saves. These teams will play each other one more time this season.
