Rawls and Wilson Help Seahawks Run Lions out of Playoffs

Thomas Rawls's 161 yards rushing and 1 touchdown sparked the Seattle Seahawks to a 26 to 6 over the Detroit Lions. They will advance to the second round of the NFC Playoffs.

In the second quarter on a fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line, Russell Wilson threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Paul Richardson, who made a dynamic one-handed catch. Richardson finished with 3 catches for 48 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.

With the Seahawks up 13 to 6 in the fourth-quarter, Thomas Rawls scored on a 4-yard rush. Seattle put the icing on the cake when Russell Wilson threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin. Baldwin finished with 11 catches for 104 yards receiving and 1 touchdown. Wilson finished with 224 passing yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Seahawks defense didn't force a turnover, but they had 3 sacks and put pressure on the Lions all game long. Matthew Stafford has 205 passing yards. Marvin Jones had 4 catches for 81 yards receiving. Seattle will travel to Atlanta (11-5) next Saturday.
