Aaron Rodgers Proving Himself Clutch

Milwaukee, WI --- The Green Bay Packers rode the golden arm of Aaron Rodgers to victory last Sunday evening on a last minute touchdown drive to break the backs of Cowboy Nation as they start the season 4-1, the third best start for the team this decade.

The Cowboys scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:13 remaining, and essentially gift-wrapped Aaron Rodgers and company a fourth quarter comeback opportunity.

Hell, even Jerry Jones admitted he was biting his nails. "Yes, I think we all did," said Jones when asked if he believed his team gave them too much time. "We knew that it was likelihood that he'd get three. Hopefully you can keep them out of the end zone."

That, they did not. It took the Green and Gold only 62 seconds to find the endzone and the united sounds of gasps and screams emerged from the 93,239 people at AT&T Stadium.

It was Rodgers' 13th fourth quarter comeback and 21st game winning drive of his Hall of Fame career. However, it was only his seventh-game winning drive since 2014, so criticism may seem understandable for his lack of comebacks, but calling him "not clutch" is farcical. He has thrown four touchdown passes in the final 30 seconds of regulation since 2014, the most in the league. Add in his 18 fourth quarter touchdown passes dating back to last season and you got a signal caller used to the heat.

This game, in combination with his 21-7 come from behind win last week against the Bengals, should vault Rodgers onto the same pedestal as other historically clutch quarterbacks, such as Joe Montana, Roger Staubach and Tom Brady.

The nine-play 75-yard touchdown drive was as if to prove the previous game's comeback wasn't a fluke.

"That's a big thing that people hammer him on is not having those fourth-quarter comebacks," said Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga. "Obviously he is more than capable of doing that. I don't understand why people give him flak about it. Talk about this one a little bit."

We're not sure too Bryan, but we will be talking about this one for a while.
