Jordan Clarkson wants to stay & The Plans After 24

20 Years in the league is Remarkable. Remaining with the same organization is Incredible. Being a Champion multiple times is Amazing. Those are some the things you associate Kobe Bryant along with competitor and dominant force and many more. Kobe made sure the lakers were always a threat and a contendor prior to his injuries, the phrase "If i'm in bounds i'm in range" is a direct example of what he was capable of.

What will become of the Lakers organization after Kobe Bryant?

The Lakers will continue to strive for greatness, it's just going to take time to get there. This off season they will have about $62 million to spend on free agency. Losing season or not, the Lakers have the ability to draw in crowds and be exciting. Kobe Bryant has has made it clear to his team mates, they have access to him at any time and is willing to help in the growth of anyone who seeks out his help to become a better leader, bring out the killer instinct and dominate can potentially take anyone to a level of greatness never thought possible. Kobe holds knowledge from the best of the best (Olajuwon's foot work and shake, Magic's passing and passion, Jordan's shooting and moves) and his mentality. He is the Guru at the top of a mountain waiting for people to seek out his knowledge, but then will test your will to prove if you are worthy.

Who will take the keys to the house that Kobe and Shaq built and Kobe maintained?

NO ONE, as of right now, is worthy of that right! But they have few options that may fit as care taker of the Laker Manor. Combined, D'Angelo, Julius and Jordan could be the new dominant force that drives the Laker organization to the top, together they can win or 1 will stand out and lead, but before that, they need to take those lessons from Kobe and be in the gym all day and night to perfect their game.

The kids have the right mentality and seem to have been inspired and motivated by Kobe's 60 POINT final game, farewell tour and love for greatness. They look to push eachother for success. Here are some of the key things said during their exit interviews.

Jordan Clarkson

(When asked about re-signing with the Lakers this off season)

"I feel confident that I'll be back here. I want to be here, after seeing that last night (Kobe's last game) it was crazy, I don't want to be one of those guys to be bouncing around team to team. I want to be somewhere I can call home and leave my marking/legacy and this is a place I feel I can do that."

(When asked about keeping in touch with peers, workouts & plans)

"Me Julius and D'Angelo live around the corner from each other, so I might run over to D'Angelo house, knock on his door, drag him out the bed and bring him to the gym and then me and D'Angelo going to run to Julius house and drag him out the house and bring him to the gym, but no we all got cell phones, we going to call each other, we're going to get in this gym and we're going to work!"

We need to take strides to playing with each other a lot more to come from them in terms of development with each other. Playing free in a structured manner. Kobe is a great mind, a genius, why not use him.

Julius Randle

(Plans for the summer)

"Work my butt off day in day out come back better than I can imagine next year. I got some areas in my game I gotta work on. I'll leave it to myself to work on those areas. Jump shot working on right hand finishes watch alot of film why things happen why thing work why they don't."

(Kobe's message and espectations for the future)

"Everything comes second, dedicate to this. After this year we'll see, we have to do this together expect to win games and be a playoff team. We have to do this together I don't think talent on this team is an issue we just have to find chemistry together"

"I'm a competitor, Winning to me is what matter. WE HAVE TO GROW UP. WE HAVE TO HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE LEAVE WITH NO REGRETS"

D'Angelo Russell

(On the passing of the torch)

"It's all on me, if I don't take it I don't, if I do I do. I don't feel like it matters at this point. I feel like with the guys that we have or who we get in the off season, I feel like we'll all come in with the same mentality as far as winning. We struggled so much this year we knew what that feeling felt like and that feeling sucked. We don't want that feeling it's not something like I want the torch I want all the glory, when you lose no one gets the glory no one gets the torch no one gets the shine. None of that really matters. Winning is the important thing because you know what losing feels like."

(On off season plans and next season)

"We got 5-6 months off that's great but if it we had 1 month and the season came right around like that [snaps fingers] I wouldn't be mad about that. Just because I'm so anxious to know what it's going to be like. I can't wait for summer league first camp first Pre season game all that."

Larry Nance Jr.

(Summer league and work out plan)

"There are a lot of things that i need/would like to work on going on to next year and summer league, there is no better palce to work on it. I would love for those guys to play (D'Angelo, Julius and Jordan). Going forward its going to be us and i would love to build more of a relation and trust with those guys. I'm a little bit under sized to play on the block so I gotta work on creating my own shot off the dribble being able to stretch my shot out to maybe the corner 3. I need to build on the confidence because I know i can shoot the 3 and the deep 2, i've done it in practice multiple times. Its just building on my confidence." He also said he expects his knee to be stronger and better.

Lou Williams is the best example of type of mind and team mate you want in your team.

"When you're going through a season like this, you try to keep the environment positive. I have the mentality, no matter what, you go into a game, you have the opportunity to win the game. I tried to create an environment where guys would feed off the energy I had. I never woke up feeling like you're playing a golden state or these teams or even teams that are battling for a playoff spot. I always felt that you always have a 50/50 chance to win the basketball game and I wanted guys to feed of that energy."

"At the end of the day no matter what the position is its still basketball. You put me out on the floor ask me to do something, I'm going to do it to the best of my abilities"

Lou Wills Exit interview

I honestly hope Nick Young comes back and goes back to his dominant self, knocking down 3's, going for 20 and lighting up teams off the bench. Brandon Bass comes back, because he provides energy and defense. Tarik gets more minutes, he is hungry and plays his heart out. Always hustling and playing his heart out. Huertas looks to have found comfort towards the end and was able to provide a pop off the bench. All in all the Lakers are in good hands, it's just a matter of time and a couple of key pieces before they reign supreme once again!
