NBA: Stephen A. Smith goes off on Kevin Durant....again

The Golden State Warriors played their first home preseason game and everyone has been talking about it since. They dismantled the Los Angeles Clippers 120-75 as the Warriors looked very sharp after losing several days ago to the Toronto Raptors. Kevin Durant had a nice game for his Warriors home debut and it was talked about on several shows including ESPN's First Take. Durant, easily, scored 21 points as he hit a couple of triples that had the crowd on their feet (probably was already standing).

Well on First Take Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim and Max Kellerman was discussing the possibility that the NBA season is over. Now if you haven't heard Stephen A.'s opinion on Kevin Durant's decision to join Golden State ( I would be surprised since he talked about it all summer), then take a quick listen to what he had to say today.

Stephen A. Smith has been very vocal about the fact that he believes that Kevin Durant's move was weak. He literally stated this at least once a week since July (when Durant joined). So it's not shocking that he is a little upset (as always) about the scores looking lop sided. However, he has a point as the NBA season does look a little more boring now.

But we should probably pump the brakes (one of Stephen A. favorite phrases) on the Warriors coronation. Just like last year, nothing is set in stone until the end of June when the championship is crowned. We do not know what is going to happen, but it does look like we are going to have Warriors vs. Cavs part three, even though I believed that would've happened whether Durant stayed in OKC or not.

The NBA season is still three weeks away and whether you are a Warriors fan or hater, they will be excited to watch and Durant is there so there is nothing else you can do about it. As for Stephen A. Smith, it's almost guaranteed that he will bring this up a lot more during the season so stay tuned for that.
