Retired WWE Wrestler Stops Armed Robbery

In recent new, Former WWE wrestler Shad Gaspard stopped an armed robbery in progress in Florida. The robber was running with a BB gun attempting to rob a convenience store. Gaspard was able to disarm the young man and detain him until the police showed up.

Gaspard told TMZ that the suspect "appeared to be drunk" and approached Gaspard, saying, "Hey man, buy me a beer." When Gaspard responded telling him there are better ways to ask for things the man pulled the weapon. The suspect explained his plan to rob the store after he pulled the BB gun. Gaspard didn't realize what type of gun it was until he removed the clip.

"I thought it was a real gun the entire time, and honestly, I just didn't want anyone to get hurt," Gaspard told Satin. "I just kept thinking about how I wanted to make sure I got home to my son."

The suspect tried to flee the scene, but Gaspard ran him down, tackled him, and shoved him into the ground.

Gaspard, 35, was a wrestler in the WWE for five years and appeared in a few movies and television shows.
