Venus Williams Leads Washington in Win over Philly Freedoms
Philadelphia PA: Its always exciting when you get some of the top tennis players to take part in World Team Tennis and that is what we had on Monday Night from Hagan Arena on the Campus of Saint Joseph's University as Venus Williams comes to town to play with Washington as they took on the Philadelphia Freedoms. The Freedoms enter this match on a 4 match winning streak as they defeated Washington on July 23 and tonight was the rematch.

The Freedoms would take the First set 5-4 in a tiebreaker, then Washington would just take over the rest of the way as they would win the next 3 sets which saw Venus Williams winning 2 of them which was Women’s Singles and Women’s Doubles. The Freedoms would take the final set to force extended play and Washington would finish the Freedoms by the score of 20-15. Below are the results of the matches.
