2017 MLB Power Rankings: Week 2, 4/10/17-4/16/17
- Baltimore Orioles- (8-3), [2], {+1} The O’s have been the most consistent team so far. They are 8-3 in the AL East (all their games against the ALE) and have won four of their last six games. 4-2 this week.
- Colorado Rockies- (9-5), [4], {+2} The young Rockies are playing really well right now and lead the Majors in saves with 8! Greg Holland the Rockies closer is 7/7 in save opportunities. 4-3 this week.
- Houston Astros- (8-4), [9], {+5} The Astros are tied for 3rd in Batting Average (.266). They've won four straight games. 4-1 this week.
- Arizona Diamondbacks- (8-5), [2], {-1} The D-Backs are first the Majors in runs scored with 63. 2-4 this week.
- Chicago Cubs- (6-6), [1], {-5} The Cubbies have lost four of their last six games and just got swept by the Pirates. The Cubs aren’t bad they just had a bad weekend. 2-4 this week.
- Detroit Tigers- (8-4), [12], {+5} The Tigers are tied for 5th in HRs with 17. They've won five their last seven games. 5-2 this week.
- Boston Red Sox- (7-5), [5], {-2} The Sox are First in Team Batting Average (.287) and OBP (.354) but are last in team HRs with only 6. When they start hitting the long ball watch out! 4-3 this week
- New York Yankees- (8-4), [21], {+13} The Yanks have won seven straight games and are undefeated at home (6-0) to start the season. Are the Yanks this good or is this a hot streak? Granted they played the Rays and a really bad offensive Cardinals team. Can’t put them in the top five quite yet! Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks. 6-0 this week.
- Washington Nationals- (7-5), [10], {+1} The Nats have won four their last six games scoring 34 runs in those games. A walk off three run Home Run by Bryce Harper on Sunday against the Phillies to take the series. 4-2 this week.
- Cincinnati Reds- (8-5), [15], {+5} The Reds are probably the most surprising team so far. They lead the Majors in stolen bases with 13 and also are second in runs scored with 62. 4-3 this week.
- Miami Marlins- (7-5), [17], {+6} The Fish are tied for first place in the NL East having just taken three of four from the New York Mets this past weekend. Can they keep this up? 4-2 this week.
- Milwaukee Brewers- (7-6), [26], {+12} The Brewers have won five of their last six games and are in second place in the NL Central. 5-1 this week.
- Los Angeles Dodgers- (7-6), [11], {-2} The Dodgers are tied for 5th in runs scored with 60. 3-3 this week.
- Minnesota Twins- (7-5), [8], {-6} The Twins pitching has been consistent. They lead the majors in Batting average against (.194). I think the Twins have come back to earth little bit doesn’t mean they can’t be a good team this season. 2-4 this week.
- Kansas City Royals- (6-6), [22], {+7} The Royals have won four straight games and are tied for 11th in team HRs with 15. 4-2 this week.
- Pittsburgh Pirates- (6-6), [13], {-2} The Pirates just went into Chicago and swept the Cubs. 3-4 this week.
- New York Mets- (7-6), [18], {+1} The Mets lost three of four from the Marlins this past weekend. They scored eight runs in those three losses. 4-3 this week.
- Cleveland Indians- (5-7), [6], {-12} The Indians are struggling at home to start the season (2-4) they've lost their first two series to the White Sox and the Tigers. The pitching has been so bad that they're last in team ERA (5.35). They’re in last place in the AL Central. 2-4 this week.
- Chicago White Sox- (6-5), [24], {+6} The White Sox continue to play pretty well and have won four of their last six games. Can the White Sox keep this up? 4-2 this week.
- Los Angeles Angels- (6-7), [7], {-13} The Angels started off well but are now on a five game losing streak. They only scored nine runs during the losing streak including getting shutout on Sunday to the Royals. 1-5 this week.
- Seattle Mariners- (5-8), [29], {+8} The M’s started off crappie however, they just completed the three game sweep against the Rangers this past weekend. 4-2 this week.
- Atlanta Braves- (5-6), [30]. {+8} The Braves opened up their brand new ballpark this past weekend against the Padres and are 3-0 so far with the finale of the four game set to finish up on Monday night. 4-1 this week.
- Tampa Bay Rays- (6-7), [14], {-9} The Rays have lost five of their last six games. However, they are tied for 7th in HRs with 16. 1-5 this week.
- San Francisco Giants- (5-9), [20], {-4} The Giants continue their slow start and are in last place in the NL West. They have a team ERA of 4.22 which is tied for 20th in MLB. the Giants need to start winning because the Rockies and D-Backs look like the real deal and of cause the Dodgers as well. 3-4 this week.
- Texas Rangers- (4-8). [16], {-9} The Rangers are off to a horrible start and have lost four of their last six games. I wasn’t high on the Rangers going into the season and they’re proven why. Can they turn it around and be better than they have? We shall see in next few weeks. They are 22nd in team ERA of 4.43. 2-4 this week.
- Philadelphia Phillies- (4-8), [19], {-7} The Phillies lost five of their last six games. The Bullpen blew two saves this weekend against the Nats. This is where they probably will be most of the season. 1-5 this week.
- Oakland Athletics- (5-7), [28], {+1} They're tied for 23rd in runs scored with 46. 2-3 this week.
- San Diego Padres- (5-8), [27], {-1} The Pads have lost four of their last six games. They only scored a total of six runs (2 in each) this past weekend against the Braves. The series concludes on Monday night. 2-4 this week.
- St. Louis Cardinals- (3-9), [23]. {-6} The Cards have been really struggling on offense scoring only 42 runs. Their team Batting Average is .212 which is in the bottom three in the Majors. 1-5 this week.
- Toronto Blue Jays- [2-10], [25], {-5} The Jays offense has been awful having a team Batting Average of .212 which is tied with the Cards. They've only hit 7 HRs as a team which is one ahead of the Sox. 1-5 this week.

Fall: Los Angeles Angels 7th to 21st (-13)
