Carson Wentz Looked Impressive in His NFL Debut!
This is my reaction on the game and on Carson Wentz.
On Sunday afternoon, Carson Wentz who the Eagles hope is the franchise quarterback was very impressive in his NFL debut against the Cleveland Browns leading the team to a 29-10 victory. In his first NFL drive of his career he completed three of four passes resulting in a beautiful touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews. During the drive he drew the Browns off-sides with a hard count and he also did a kill play or an audible as most people call it (change the play at the line of scrimmage). The kid was cool, calm and collective out there like he's played in the NFL before. He had commend and posed to get the touchdown. Late in the third quarter Pederson decided to go for it on fourth down and Wentz completed it to Tight End, Zach Ertz. The very next play was another beautiful pass touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor.

Overall, Wentz was a leader out on the field, his teammates trusted him. He finished the game completing 22 of 37 passes for 270 yards and two touchdown and zero turnovers. Yes it was the Cleveland Browns but as I said Wentz looked posed out there and he didn't make any rookie mistakes, he wasn't scared to make plays. However, he did take few hard shots to the body the offensive line needs to protect him just little better and he needs to try and avoid getting hit. I'm looking forward in seeing what he can do against good team like the Pittsburgh Steelers in two weeks or the Seattle Seahawks or Green Bay Packers or the Cincinnati Bengals later on in the season. What will he do against the division teams. How will he deal with losses and bad games because he will have his struggle like every rookie as. All I know is that the Eagles could ave a special quarterback for the next decade hopefully.
