Chase Utley Returns to Philadelphia For First Time Since Being Traded!
One year, ago this week (8/19/15) the Philadelphia Phillies, traded away fan favorite and one of the greatest Phillies' of all time, Chase Utley to the Los Angeles Dodgers for two players. Last week, Chase faced the Phillies for the first time since being traded. He hit a home-run in the first game of the three game series in which the Dodgers won 9-4. In the next two games he want a combine 2 for 9 with one run scored as the Dodgers took two out of three from the Phillies.
Tonight, Chase Utley returns to Philadelphia where he spent over 13+ seasons. Chase helped the Phillies win five NL East division championships (2007-2012), two NLCS championships (2008 & 2009) and a World Series championship in 2008 against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was and still is a beloved player in this city even through he plays for the LA Dodgers. It's gonna be an emotional night in Philadelphia that's for sure as I expect him to get a standing ovation from the fans. I don't think it will be a sell out but I wouldn't be shocked if it was close to 40,000 that showed up to greet Chase in his return and showed him the respect he deserves for playing hard every night he put on the Phillies uniform.
