NFL Opinion : Is Trevor Siemian A Future MVP?

The Denver Broncos currently sit at 8-5 which is only good enough for third place in the AFC West, trailing the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. The Broncos host the New England Patriots this sunday in Denver, Colorado which will be one for the ages. Anyway, Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian has been on a roll all season.

In his last two games, Siemian has thrown for 702 yards along with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. In fact Siemian has thrown for 2,730 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 7 interceptions so far this season. No one really expected the 2015 seventh round draft pick to be this good replacing the legendary Peyton Manning.

In all due to respect Siemian is playing like a MVP currently and I believe that he will indeed be MVP someday. Siemian ranks 25th in passing this season (has missed two games) but ranks 19th in touchdowns and ranks 26th in QB rating (note- this is for all players who have at least thrown one pass), beating Eli Manning, Carson Palmer, Russell Wilson, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton, Brock Osweiler, and Blake Bortles. For Siemian to have a better QB rating than former MVP Cam Newton (2015-16), than you know that Siemian has a reasonable shot for MVP one of these days.

Siemian has that style of play that you got to admire and figure that in a couple of seasons that he could be a MVP! Watchout everyone! Trevor Siemian is on his way!
