Let's get it Done Redskins

Ok the hype is coming to an end, the Redskins arrived in Morgantown and are ready to play ball. Some think they have no chance, others seem to be overly confident, in less than 12 hours we will be witnessing the answers to our questions. Are the Redskins battle tested after the crazy difficult schedule they played? Are they not an elite team in the state as they lost 4 of those tough games (3 of those badly), or are they better than University and now Morgantown due to playing the Capital, Spring Valley, and Gws on their slate?

Hurricane defeated Cabell Midland

Until the win last week at University, the Redskins best win was against Cabell Midland, a team that I believe would be a heavy favorite over Morgantown. The Mohigans played one MSAC team during the season, a revived, but still below average Riverside team, that could not compete in the Mighty MSAC. Morgantown prevailed 32-14. Morgantown also got a hard fought victory over Parkersburg South 31-19. South who needed a OT victory over Parkersburg to finish 5-5 would be a lower tier team if they played in the MSAC.

Keys to the game: Yeah yeah everyone knows by now, win the turnover battle. May sound simple but when the Redskins hold onto the pigskin they win! Get up early! There is no tomorrow, Hurricane needs to come out like their hair is on fire from the opening kickoff and never let up. They did this against University and had a 14-0 lead before the Hawks knew what hit them. We do not want to play from behind. Defense sets the tone. Morgantown has probably not seen a relentless swarming defense like the Redskins have. The stop unit of Defensive Coordinator Pratt needs to play lights out and pressure young Mr. Holgorsen all night.  Ground and Pound Hurricane's offense has taken on a new look in the last few weeks and Ihurricanefootballfan  hopes to see more of the same tonight. Payton Lunsford has been running strong, and getting Boobie McDougale back gives the Redskins the Thunder and Lightning that they have lacked to this point.

What do the WVGazette Gurus think? Do we really need to ask? 7 of 9 (haters) refuse to believe and have picked Morgantown. Of course our boy Nick Scala has rode the Redskin train all year and has pcked Hurricane to stay alive and advance. Josh Lewis was heard on Fox 11 News last night predicting a Hurricane victory!

Josh Lewis predicts a Hurricane Redskin victory

Prediction: I am going out on a limb and calling for an all MSAC final Four. Spring Valley and Capital advance with relative ease, and George Washington shocks Martinsburg to advance and host Hurricane who wins tonight. Hurricane 23 Morgantown 21
