Blue Jackets Humiliate Canadiens 10-0.
Hi everybody. I have some MAJOR Hockey News from the central Ohio region. The Columbus Blue Jackets Humiliated the Montreal CANADIENS 10-0. Yes that is correct it was a 10-0 win for CBJ. Cam Atkinson, Nick FOLIGNO, Scott HARTNELL and Josh Anderson each had 2 goals in the game on Friday Night.
Sergei BOBROVSKY had 30 saves for the Blue Jackets but he didn't have to do much last night as the Jackets did 99% of the damage on CANADIENS back up goalie AL Montoya. Montoya started the game in place of Corey Price who was starting a pair of Back-to-Back games. CBJ coach John TORTELLA said after the game " I don't care about records. It's a tick in the win column or in the loss column so we have work to do. And we have a long way to go in the season.
This was a record setting night for the both teams. Here's my take, If somebody would have said to me on Friday that the Blue Jackets would have put up 10 goals against the Montreal CANADIENS I would have said shut your mouth. But the CANADIENS had yet to lose a game in regulation they did that in a historic manner. The CANADIENS tied their record for the worst defeat in their history. They lost by 10 goals to the Detroit Red Wings in Feb 1995. The Blue Jackets set a record for the most goals in a game with 10 last night. Montreal is now 9-1-1 while the Blue Jackets are a nice surprise at 5-3-1. But it's early in the season. We have a long way to go but the Blue Jackets have got to feel good I know that I do. Next up for Montreal, They are going on the road to face the Broad Street Bullies, The Philadelphia Flyers. The Blue Jackets go on the road to face the St Louis Blues. So we will see how both teams respond tonight.
