Chase Elliott Captures 2nd Straight Daytona 500 Pole.

Hello Everybody. It's hard to believe that the NASCAR Season is about to kickoff with the Biggest Race of the year, The Great American Race is coming up on Sunday. And Chase Elliott Has Captured his 2nd Straight Daytona 500 Pole with HENDRICK Teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr On the Outside of the front row.

Elliott is hoping to improve on his 37th place finish in the 500 one year ago. Chase Elliott said to reporters after his pole run " I hope we can stay cup at the front and improve from what happened last year and maybe win the 500 this time around." Elliott Is one of many favorites to win Sunday's Daytona 500 and we will see what Happens, Rick HENDRICK Said to reporters afterwards.

Elliott's Crew Chief Alan Gustafson said I didn't expect Chase to capture the pole at all. And this was totally unexpected and I am a very happy guy at the moment. But 500 Miles is a long way to go and anything can happen. We have made improvements to the car and I hope we are in Victory Lane Next Sunday

Another Happy man to be back is Dale Earnhardt Jr. He Missed the Final 18 Races of the season due to Concussion like symptoms. He Just Missed the pole. Jr { The Racer} Was disappointed not to win the pole but Jr the Driver was happy to be back in the car ready to go racing on Sunday. Jr Said to the Press after Qualifying " I am very happy to be back in the Car and I am ready to compete for the Championship. But this could Possibly Be my Final Year in NASCAR because of the Concussions I have Suffered and I am now Married and I want to enjoy Life with My New Wife."

Well we Do have at least 2 storylines to follow in Next Sunday's Daytona 500. But there could be more. Here's My take, The Run For the Pole is over. Now we get Ready for the Can-Am Duels on Thursday Night. And let me tell you there are more storylines to follow on Thursday Night. What About the Penske Team Joey LAGANO And Brad KESOLOWSKI they have to do it the Hard Way on Thursday and what about the Stewart-Hass Team they have switched From Chevrolet to Ford this season and how will they do. And what about the 7-time Champion Jimmie Johnson, how will he do. He spun in the Clash At Daytona earlier that Day and Dale Jr. was in the Fox Broadcast Booth when it happened so there could be something else to think about. The 500 is the Biggest Race of the year and anything can happen.

P.S The 500 is at 2:00 on Sunday On Fox. The Can-Am Duels are on Thursday Night and as far as my pick goes. I will give you My Pick for the 500 on Saturday Morning. So Stay Tuned.
