Cubs take 3-2 lead in NLCS.
Hi everybody. The Chicago Cubs have taken a 3-2 series lead in the NLCS. This comes as a result of an 8-4 victory in game 5. Jon Lester got the Win as he pitched 7 good innings with 5 hits, 1 run and 6 strikeouts. AROLDIS Chapman got the save despite giving up 2 runs and a walk in the 9th.
Well while Jon Lester was getting the Job done on the mound. The Cubs bats really caught fire again in game 5. Anthony Rizzo lead of the scoring with a Double and he had an RBI last night. Addison Russell had a home run as well last night. And Addison Russell has caught fire in the last 2 games of the LCS raising his batting average from .042 to .263 now that's impressive and those are the numbers that the Cubs need going forward. Now here's the question that Cubs fans want answered is it time for Wilson Contreras to jump in and light up the Cubs offense a little more. I say yes, here's a case in point Jason Heyward he's was supposed to be the bat that led the offense. But Heyward only batting .071 in the LCS. So to that question I say yes it's time to put Contreras in and it's time bench Heyward. Heyward said after the game, " It's been a nightmare for me as I can't hit anything I went 0-for-4 and I am struggling right now and it's pretty bad for me right now and I hope I can get back on track soon."

Well the Cubs do return to Chicago for game 6 hoping to put it away and go back to the World Series for the 1st time since 1945. Well I have some possible Bad news, And that is Clayton Kershaw is going for the Dodgers in game 6. Here's my take The Cubs struggled against Kershaw in game 2 they couldn't hit anything against the best ace on the Dodgers pitching staff. So I am going to say this now Cubs fans and that is if you want to go to the World Series you might want to plan on a game 7 Sunday night. Because if you let Kershaw do what he did in game 2 you going to lose again. So in short you better plan on a game 7 because Clayton has been lights out in the postseason so far and he could do it again on Saturday night.
So here's what's next in the NLCS. Kershaw goes for the Dodgers in game 6. Kershaw has 1-0 in the NLCS with a 3.72 ERA. The Cubs Will Send Kyle Hendricks
to the Mound. Hendricks is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA. So we will see what happens in game 6 on Saturday night. Game 6 will be at 8:00 on Fox sports 1. And can the Cubs win game 6 and end the nightmare on the Northside or will it be Clayton Kershaw that does it again and sends the NLCS to a 7th and deciding game we will find all of that out on Saturday night.
