Hi everybody. I am very elated today, why you ask, The Chicago Cubs are back in the World Series for the 1st time since 1945. This comes as a result of a 5-0 shutout over the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday night.
Javier Baez And Jon Lester shared MVP honors of the NLCS. Clayton Kershaw got the loss. He pitched 5 innings he gave up 7 hits 5 runs 2 home runs and he did have 4 strikeouts. Kyle Hendricks got the win with 7 innings pitched he only gave up 2 hits and struck out 6. AROLDIS Chapman got the save in the decider last night. Anthony Rizzo and Wilson Contreras each had a home run. And the Chicago Cubs are back in the World Series for the first time since 1945. 1945 was a VERY LONG TIME AGO!!!!!!!!!. Here are some facts that you might be interested in. You Guys know that Ron Santo and Ernie Banks never played in the Fall Classic. Here's some other numbers for you. 1.275 different men played for the Cubs during that span. 606 pitchers threw at least 1 pitch for the Cubs. 11.309 games have been played since that time in 1945.
There is somebody else that the Cubs are going to play for and that's the memory of the Late Cubs announcer Harry Caray. He was with the Cubs for so many years with WGN Chicago. He passed away before the 1998 season began. I bet you right now that Harry is in heaven right now with a Budweiser in one hand and a Budweiser in the other, And with 3 or 4 kegs of Bud right under his feet saying HOLY COW THE CUBS DID IT. AND I AM GOING TO SHARE, THE BEER IS ON ME AND DRINK AWAY AND ENJOY THE MOMENT BECAUSE I KNOW I AM.
The Cubs did it they got to the best pitcher on the Dodgers rooster Clayton Kershaw. The Dodgers were 4-and-0 when he was the starter. Here's my take
The Dodgers are scratching their heads saying Clayton what happened you were the best pitcher in the postseason and you choked in the most important game of your career so far. Kershaw was lost out there in game 6 on Saturday night and everybody in L.A is asking Clayton how could you blow it. I don't know the Answer to that, But I will say this. If Clayton doesn't win a world series with any team this is what he will be remembered for blowing the most important game in your career. So Clayton Kershaw you better get a world series ring soon or your going to b e remembered for what happened in game 6 of the 2016 NLCS. The Cubs won the Pennant and we will see what happens starting Tuesday Night in the World Series. But for now enjoy the moment Cubs fans because you have earned it.
