KWINGS WIN 5TH IN A ROW

KALAMAZOO, MI. - Kwings offense came thru Friday night with a huge crowd looking on at Wings Event Center as the Kwings slay the Beast of Brampton 5-4. Kalamazoo led the way on offense with two goals and one assist by Peter Schneider combine with Goalie Nick Riopel (winning 9 of his last 10 starts) in the Kwings win. Brampton came to play and put pressure on Kalamazoo to play from behind early in the contest. But the Kwings never quit; they kept coming. The second and third periods proved to be the difference maker for Kalamazoo, with contributions by Tyler Briggs, Michael Trebish, Ben Wilson, and Justin Taylor help secure the win for Kalamazoo bringing their record to 29-24 (57pts) just 3 points back of Quad City for 3rd in the Central.
