Carmelo and the Knicks divorce to become final; Where will he end up?
During the New York Knicks president Phil Jackson's exit press conference, he let the NBA know what we all have known for quite some time now, Carmelo Anthony will be moving on and finishing his career elsewhere.
“I think the direction with our team is that he would be better off somewhere else," Jackson said according to ESPN’s Ian Begley
The 10-time all-star will probably join a contender to try to win a ring before his career is done. Anthony and Jackson have not seen eye to eye since Jackson's arrival in 2013 and the Knicks as a whole have not been the same. They have not made the playoffs since he took over as president, going 80-166 in that span, even a franchise worst 17-65 during the 2014-2015 season.
Anthony averaged 22.4 points a game in his final season with the Knicks. Look for his name to come up in talks to team up with King James in Cleveland.
