Appalachian State vs. Louisiana Lafayette Odds, Official Betting Preview

Appalachian State takes on Louisiana Lafayette in Wednesday night college football action. App State is a 10-point favorite with the total 48 or 48.5. Not surprisingly, the public prefers the road favorite with 69 percent of bets placed on Appalachian St. An even larger majority of 77 percent have gotten down on the over. The opening Vegas and offshore betting odds saw -10.5 and 52. The game is televised on ESPN2 at 8 ET with streaming video on 

App State is 3-2 to the number including 2-0 on the road. Three of five have gone over the total. UL Lafayette has covered 3-of-4 with two straight exceeded the oddsmakers’ total. The Mountaineers are above average in the offensive categories. They are principally affective running the ball, getting 4.5 yards per rush teams normally allowing 4.4. They are dominant on the other side of the ball allowing just 4.3 yards per carry to teams normally getting 4.8, 7.0 yards per pass to 7.7 and 5.7 yards per play to 6.2.

They go against a ULL offense rushing for 3.9 yards per rush to teams that permit an average of 4.7 and 5.2 yards per play to 5.6. The Ragin’ Cajuns allow a mere 2.8 yards per carry to teams averaging 3.7 and 8.1 passing yards per attempt teams normally getting 7.2.
