Johnathan Rannachan Hoping to make a name for himself in Rio

In October 2016, Johnathan Rannachan added a new accolade to his career when he was crowned the under 23 Bodybuilding Champion. A month after that, he came third at the WFF World Championships held in Ireland, making his hard work earn him two achievements in a space of a month.

Even with all these achievements earned in a short space of time, Rannachan is not planning to slow down. He is looking to further pick up his profile in the world of bodybuilding. With the WFF Universe Championships coming up in RIO this coming June, Rannachan is getting ready not only to compete there but also take the crown.

“Right now I am aiming for size and lean bulk,” said Rannachan. “Nutrition is basic; 8 meals of high protein content, 3 meals of carbs.”

The young bodybuilder said that he sees this upcoming competition as a big opportunity for him to climb up within the ranks. “Well, I am hoping to make a name for myself in RIO and represent SA for NABBA for many more years to come,” he said.
