Week 4 NFL Picks - Road Warriors Will Dominate

Week 4 of the NFL Season kicks off tomorrow night when the Bears travel to Wisconsin to face off against division rivals in the Green Bay Packers. The week closes with a battle between two teams that have excelled on the offensive end this season as the Redskins travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Chiefs on Monday night. Out of 16 matchups this weekend, I have the road team winning 9 of them. Did the Bears make the list of road teams who'll fare well this weekend? Find out in the Week 4 NFL Picks!

Bears @ Packers (8:25 PM ET, Thursday)

Both of these teams are coming off of big overtime victories. Green Bay kept it closer than it should have been last week against the Bengals while Chicago pulled off a shocking upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, things should go back to normal. Green Bay is playing a division rival (and a bad team) at home.

Pick: Packers 31, Bears 14

Saints "@" Dolphins (In London, 9:30 AM ET, Sunday)

The Saints are coming off a huge victory against a struggling Panthers team while the Dolphins nearly got shut out by the lowly Jets. The 'Fins mustered a touchdown at the end of the game, but the offense concerned me last week. I expect a close game, but New Orleans has a much better offense in general. Cutler will play well, the Saints will play better. Who Dat?

Pick: Saints 27, Dolphins 24

Titans @ Texans (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

The Titans look legit. The Texans don't but they can look solid if they can upset a division rival at home. I think Tennessee's offense is far better than Houston's. The Titans pick up a much-needed win on the road.

Pick: Titans 24, Texans 17

Jaguars @ Jets (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

The Jags are a hard team to get a read on. They're definitely not legit, but it's hard to decipher how bad they are. They're good enough to beat the Jets. This pick is short and sweet.

Pick: Jaguars 17, Jets 7

Panthers @ Patriots (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

Tom Brady. Pretty much the only reason needed when explaining why New England should win a game. He's back and better than ever. If Cam Newton shows up and regains some of his MVP form that he had a few years ago, it'll be an interesting game. I don't think that happens.

Pick: Patriots 31, Panthers 17

Lions @ Vikings (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

This is a very underrated game between two of the best teams in the NFC. The Lions suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Falcons last week that could have solidified their legitimacy had it been a win. The Vikings dominated the Bucs last Sunday. This should be a very entertaining game. I'm going with the comeback kids.

Pick: Lions 28, Vikings 17

Bills @ Falcons (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

First things first: Buffalo is a not a legit team. They looked good against Denver on Sunday, but this defense faces its toughest test yet in Atlanta's top 5 (or top 3, maybe top 1) offense, not to mention it's a road game for the Bills. Too many things makes add up to a Bills loss.

Pick: Falcons 28, Bills 20

Steelers @ Ravens (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

Pittsburgh has been off this season. Things haven't been clicking offensively, mainly due to Ben Roethlisberger's slow start. A division game is never easy to win, especially against a 2-1 Ravens team that wants to prove it's for real. The only issue here is... Baltimore isn't for real.

Pick: Steelers 21, Ravens 10

Bengals @ Browns (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

This will be an ugly game. Neither one of these teams has looked especially good this season. There are two reasons to watch this game:

1. Cincinnati played a close game against Green Bay last week

2: DeShone Kizer and his rookie rollercoaster

Cincy takes this one in an ugly road game.

Pick: Bengals 17, Browns 14

Rams @ Cowboys (1:00 PM ET, Sunday)

The Rams are close to being a good team. Maybe they're already a good team. Dallas has shown flashes of being a great team. I think they beat the Rams in a close game between two NFC teams looking to get on track. Jared Goff and company aren't ready just yet to hang with the big dogs.

Pick: Cowboys 24, Rams 21

Eagles @ Chargers (4:05 PM ET, Sunday)

This one is an easy pick. Philadelphia has looked pretty good this season and even though LA (yes, LA; still working on remembering that part) has lost two close games, they're still 0-3. Carson Wentz should have a big day on the road, jolting some more confidence into this offense. Phillip Rivers, I'm sorry. Better luck next time.

Pick: Eagles 31, Chargers 17

Giants @ Buccaneers (4:05 PM ET, Sunday)

Both of these teams need a win. The Giants need one more than the Bucs. Out of desperation, I think this Giants offense does enough to beat the Buccaneers. Jameis Winston will have a bounce back game for the Bucs, but Odell Beckham Jr. is a pretty good reason to believe in the Giants.

Pick: Giants 27, Buccaneerss 21

49ers @ Cardinals (4:05 PM ET, Sunday)

Carson Palmer vs. Brian Hoyer. An aging veteran (it's very visible) vs. a journeyman QB who's found a starting gig on a bad team (also visible). Both guys have improved throughout the season. This game comes down to defense and weapons on offense. The Cardinals have the edge in both. Expect another solid game from Carson Palmer, perhaps his best effort thus far in the season.

Pick: Cardinals 31, 49ers 14

Raiders @ Broncos (4:25 PM ET, Sunday)

Good, old-fashioned AFC West showdown. Oakland got exposed on the road against Washington, Denver lost to Buffalo on the road. Both teams should bring their A-game this week. Oakland's best game is better than Denver's best game, at least this week.

Pick: Raiders 24, Broncos 17

Colts @ Seahawks (8:30 PM ET, Sunday)

The Colts aren't good. The Seahawks are good (I think). Although the 'Hawks are 1-2, their pedigree and talent makes them one of the best 1-2 teams in recent memory. They need a statement game, unfortunately Jacoby Brissett is the unlucky guy who'll feel the wrath of the LOB.

Pick: Seahawks 30, Colts 13

Redskins @ Chiefs (8:30 PM ET, Monday)

This is a game between a top team and a team that wants to be respected as one. Big props to Washington for dominating Oakland last week. It is hard to play that well twice in a row. Arrowhead Stadium is a big home-field advantage for the Chiefs, who are also the better team. No Kirk Cousins magic this week, the Chiefs should handle the 'Skins. Kareem Hunt continues to amaze me, as does Alex Smith (this year).

Pick: Chiefs 27, Redskins 21

That's it for today's article. Thank you all a bunch for reading! Hopefully my picks this week go better than they did last time around (don't ask what my record was... it was bad). Let's hope for some more exciting NFL action!
