San Antonio Spurs lose to the Minnesota Timberwolves

Dejounte Murray is going to be a special player for the Spurs in the future.

The San Antonio Spurs are headed to the consolation round after losing 80-71 to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The loss is very frustrating as the Spurs won't have a chance to repeat as Summer League Champions.  The Spurs really struggled early but they did have a great second half. The Spurs still can win the consolation prize and that would still be a huge confidence boost for the team. The Spurs losing Kyle Anderson really hurt the team and damaged the Las Vegas Summer League repeat hopes.

The good news for the Spurs they are known for overcoming adversity just like they did in 2014 winning the finals one year later after losing in game 7 in 2013.  I have really enjoyed watching Summer League and the Spurs have had some great moments. I think the Spurs have some special talent in Dejounte Murray, Bryn Forbes, C.J Williams, Jarnell Stokes, and Jonathan Simmons.

The San Antonio Spurs have a great young core and they just need some more work. It would not surprise me if the Spurs win the Las Vegas Summer League in 2017. Overall, I am really happy at seeing the team grow and develop. Hopefully, they can win the consolation prize. I am interested in seeing how training camp plays out and to see the Spurs final Roster once it is completed. Go Spurs Go!
