The San Antonio Spurs should trade for Milwaukee Bucks center Greg Monroe

Greg Monroe could be moved to the San Antonio Spurs very soon.

The San Antonio Spurs are interested in trading for Milwaukee Bucks center/power-foward Greg Monroe Sam Amico of AmicoHoops.net reports. I think this could be a great move for the San Antonio Spurs if the trade does happen depending on who the San Antonio Spurs have to give up in a three team trade. I would be fine with losing Danny Green if it means the San Antonio Spurs could land a quality big man in Greg Monroe.

I still think that the Spurs should pursue Thomas Robinson and attempt to sign him to a veteran minimum. However, Greg Monroe could be a great fit with the San Antonio Spurs. I think that the Spurs could land both and have excellent depth at the center position. I believe that Greg Monroe being traded to the San Antonio Spurs would be a win for both parties involved as he doesn't fit the Bucks system and they just signed Miles Plumlee to a contract Charles F. Garnder of the Journal Sentinel reports.

Greg Monroe is young solid player and he is only 26 years old. He would help make the San Antonio Spurs become even younger and more athletic. I am very interested as the talks continue to develop. I am also curious who the third party in the trade might be to help make the trade a reality. The Spurs should not be complacent with their current roster and should add one more upgrade. The San Antonio Spurs will be very tough to beat if they land Greg Monroe and pair him up with Dewayne Dedmon and Pau Gasol. I will be following this trade rumor very closely.
