Does Denver have the whiniest fans in football

Classic sign worn by an Oakland fan during Sunday nights win over Denver pretty much sums up what Denver fans have been doing this fine Monday.

Tried to stay off social media during last night's 30-20 win over Denver. Didn't want to hear or see any commentary, complaining or any non-football person checking in on the biggest Oakland game in the last fourteen years.

Friend of mine checked in late in the third quarter and much like Old-Faithful there it came with a litany of whining about the refs from last night's game. Being a lifetime Oakland fan and watching the Silver and Black lead the league in penalties year after year after year I have zero empathy for the Broncos who were only called for four more penalties than Oakland.

Denver penalties: 12-104

Oakland penalties: 8-72

Hey Denver, try getting called for an NFL record 23 penalties, the previous week like Oakland did in the OT win over Tampa Bay. Oakland gets called for so many penalties every week that we have a term for it, it's called getting Raidered!

Guess the thing that bothers me more about the Denver fan base is they seriously don't seem like they have an ounce of football acumen among the entire group of fans.

Haven't heard a single person in my social media circle mention anything about the 200 plus yards rushing Oakland shoved right down there throats. Kelechi Osemele was freaking awesome last night as he absolutely crushed the Denver D-line and linebackers. Decleaters in the NFL are rare and Osemele had several plays where he decleated multiple Bronco defenders.

I don't know which football game the Denver fans were watching but I saw a game dominated by Oakland and a game that shouldn't have been as close as it was. Denver scored once on a missed coverage assignment, and the other on a ridiculously great effort from the Denver back but a hideously poor tackling effort from Oakland. Nine, three-and-outs is what I saw and an ass-kicking of epic proportions.

Woke up this morning to a whole bunch of it was just one loss, it's not like it was the Superbowl that reeked faintly of the absurd idea that Denver is making it back to the dance. Think the funniest thing about this soon-to-be Denver downward spiral is the Bronco fans don't even see it coming!

That Bronco defense is banged up right now, and as evidenced by the play last night, Denver's offense isn't close to being good enough to hanging with the Big Boys of the NFL.

This week at New Orleans and Drew Brees - UHHHH, upset special.

'The Broncos have to play the Chiefs twice, the Raiders again and new England. While those games are tough enough, gimmes at Tennessee and Jacksonville no longer look like gimmes.

Uh-Oh!
