We are gonna miss George Scott....
Long time St. Francis equipment manager George Scott passed away this week.
Saw a few notes floating around Facebook yesterday about someone from St. Francis Indian School passing away. Had to make a call and was informed that long-time equipment guy, George Scott had passed away.
While I knew Mr. Scott as the friendly guy that always greeted me with a smile and a handshake and a few words about how things were going, guessing there are a lot of people that have been influenced by DAD.
Besides taking care of the equipment, fixing the clock (on occasion) sweeping the floors, taking care of spill or any other emergency, Scott has been part of a lot of little-guy/girl athletic programs at St. Francis Indian School. That's a lot of getting up early, opening the gym on cold winter morning and being a supportive father figure and mentor to a lot of young people that have come up through St. Francis.
That's terrific stuff!
Wake & Funeral Announcement for Dad (George Scott).
Wakes, Saturday November 5, 2016 @ 11am and Sunday November 6, 2016 @ Digmann hall, St. Francis, S.D.
Funeral, Monday November 7, 2016 @ 3pm. Celebrating his departure in Red and Gold that day. St Francis Indian school will release staff and students at 1pm to attend funeral services.
