Panthers Luke Keuchly has jersey retired at Boston College

Carolina Panthers All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly has his jersey retired at Boston College, where he played his collegiate career prior to being drafted ninth overall by the Panthers in the 2002 NFL Draft. Kuechly has been a dominant linebacker in the NFL since joining the league, leading the league in tackles multiple years, winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year (2012) award, as well as the Defensive Player of the Year (2013) award and has been selected to multiple NFL Pro Bowls.

Kuechly was just as dominant during his three years at Boston College, collecting 532 total tackles, 299 of those solo, also recording seven interceptions and two defensive touchdowns. Kuechly was named the ACC Rookie Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 and ACC Player of the Year in 2011. Kuechly was also named First-Team All-American and First-Team All-ACC all three years he was at Boston College.
