Hi Everybody, Last Night I Did a National League Question And Answer Session Because So Many People Approached Me About The Latest Baseball News. The Trade Deadline Is Upon Us, Don't Forget July 31st. But I Am Not Going To Talk About The Trade Deadline Just Yet.

Tonight's An American League Question And Answer Session, So Let's Get Started.

This First Question Comes From One Of My Coworkers At My Job.

He Wanted To Know, Do I Think The Yankees Are Unstoppable In The American League East, MY ANSWER IS YES, And Here's Why.

Despite All Of The Injuries To The Yankee Lineup The New York Yankees Have Been The Best Team In The AL East, And Yes They Do Have The Best Record In Baseball. I Mean Think About For a Second, The Yankees Bats Have Been Living Up To More Than Their Potential. Gary Sanchez, 24 Home Runs, 57 RBI's This Season And He's Slugging .556 The Best On The Yankees Staff. DJ Lemahieu, He Has Been a Surprise For The Yankees, He's Hitting .336 The Best In The Lineup And With An OPS .900 How Can You Overlook Him. Luke Voit, He Wasn't Even On The Staff When The Season Started, He's Slugging .500 And Has The Best On Base Percentage .393, He Also Has 17 Home Runs This Season. So As You Can See The Yankee Bats Are Making Some Noise This Season. And The Yankees Do Have a 6.5 Game Lead On The Tampa Bay Rays. So With That In Mind I Don't The Yankees Can Be Stopped. The Only Team Who Can Stop The Yankees Are The Yankees Themselves.

This Next Question Comes From My Dad And Both Sides Of My Family, Mom's And Dad's Sides Of The Family Wanted To Know Can The Cleveland Indians Catch The Minnesota Twins In The American League Central.

I Am So Glad To Answer That Question. I Think It's Going To Be Very Close, And Here's Why. The Cleveland Indians Are 23-9 Since June 1st And The Indians Are Getting Better. The Minnesota Twins On The Other Hand Struggled a Little Bit Going 18-15 Since June 1st. The Twins Run Differential Is Plus 116 So The Twins Are Hitting More, However On The Other Hand The Indians Are Only 5.5 Games Back In The Division. But We Do Have One Other Thing Working In The Twins Favor, Since 2013 The Team Leading The American League Central At The All-Star Break Has Gone On To Win The Central. The Indians And Twins Have 13 Meetings In The 2nd Half Of The Season. And The First Series These Two Teams Have Starts On Friday.

What The Indians Need To Do Is Get a Sweep Of The Twins At Home And Then We Will Know For Sure If The Indians Are For Real Or Not. Can The Indians Catch The Twins. I Think They Can, But This First Series Right Out Of The All-Star Break Could Be Make Or Break For Cleveland. The Indians Need To Get The Sweep Of The Twins At Progressive Field Or It's Going To Be a Long 2nd Half Of The Season For The Tribe.

The Next Question Comes From A Loyal Houston Astros Fan..

He Wants To Know Can The Oakland Athletics Catch The Houston Astros.

The Astros And Athletics Have 11 Meetings In The 2nd Half Of The Season. The Astros Do Have a 7.5 Game Lead Over The Athletics. To Answer Your Question, It's Going To Be Tough For The Athletics To Catch The Astros In My Opinion. Justin Verlander Is Have An American League Cy Young Season. He's Wins The Cy Young If It Was Handed Out Today. Verlander Is 10-4 With a 2.98 ERA. He's a Fantastic Pitcher But He Needs To Quit Whining About The Baseballs Being Juiced. And Don't Forget About Michael Brantley The Former Indian, He's Hitting .324 This Season And Had An RBI In The All-Star Game.

But The Oakland A's Have Had Some Stars To. Marcus Semien, He Leads The Team in Hits With 100 Despite Only Having An OPS .789 This Season. Matt Chapman Has Been A Go To Guy This Season With 21 Home Runs, 52 RBI's And Is Hitting .264 This Season.

The Oakland Athletics Are 21-12 Since June 1st, And Here's What They Need To Do To Catch The Red Hot Astros. The A's Need To Keep Up This Kind Of a Winning Streak And Hope Houston Does Something Really Stupid Like Trade Justin Verlander At The Trade Deadline. I Know The A's And Astros Have 11 Games Against Each Other, However The Astros Are Just To Hot At The Moment So I Think The Astros Win The American League West.

This Last Question Comes From Just About Everybody...

The Question Is Who Do You Think Will Win The American League Pennant...

Wow That Is a Tough One Even For Me, And Here's Why. The Yankees Have The Best Record In The American League. The Houston Astros Have a Cy Young Award Winner And Have a Comfortable Lead. The Minnesota Twins Have Been The Surprise This Season, But The Cleveland Indians Can Still Catch The Twins In The American League Central.

But When It's All Said And Done, I Have To Go With The New York Yankees Because They Have Shown Me A lot This Season Despite All Of The Injuries They Have Had. And The Yankees Have The Hitting And With Their Skipper Aaron Boone, a Former Yankee Player Himself, He Knows How To Get The Job Done In The Postseason, So My Pick For The American League Pennant Is The New York Yankees.

Bottom Line...
