During his acceptance speech Burrow tried to hold back tears of joy when he thanked his Offensive line, other teammates and head coach Ed Orgeron.

Burrow said this during his acceptance speech..

" I want to than my teammates and coach O for what they have given me the opportunity to do and that's play football. I also want to thank coach O for the chance to be somebody special at LSU. When he gave me the keys to his team I knew we were on to something special."

Burrow's trophy case is already full and you can now add the Heisman to it. Look at what Burrow has done this season. He's won the Maxwell Award {Best Overall}. He won the Davey O'Brien {Best Quarterback}. He's won the Walter Camp award and the Associate Press player of the year.

Let's go back to the start of the season. When the season started Joe Burrow's chances of winning the Heisman we at 200-1. He had no chance of having a good season at LSU, And forget the Heisman Right, Wrong

I saw something special in Burrow in the opening game of the season against the Texas Longhorns and it just took of from there. LSU Played five team in the AP top-25 this season and I have some numbers that did contribute to Burrow winning the Heisman.

Then No.9 Texas: 471 yards, four touchdowns.

Then No.7 Florida: 293 yards, three touchdowns.

Then No.9 Auburn: 321 yards, two touchdowns.

Then No.3 Alabama: 393 yards, three touchdowns.

Then No.4 Georgia: 349 yards, four touchdowns.

If you combine all of the numbers together against those five teams I mentioned you will see what Burrow was able to do.

143-of-182 for 1,827 yards, 16 touchdowns, two interceptions. Burrow also had a completion rate of 78.6% and a passer rating of 187.9.

Here's my take..

I saw something special in Joe Burrow when he was able to beat Texas. I was kind of concerned because LSU had to go on the road to face Alabama in a hostile environment, Burrow passed that test. And I will say this now, he's earned my respect because when you can go on the road to beat Alabama for the SEC west heavyweight championship that's something, and yes that had the feeling of a 15 round title fight.

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said that "Joe Burrow is a special kind of quarterback." Burrow also said that he still has work to do in taking LSU to the National Championship.

LSU will face Oklahoma in the first semi-final game in the Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl on December 28th.

I like this matchup because we will see what the top-2 in the Heisman voting are capable of. I'm talking about Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts. And on of those two will play for the National Championship.

Who will win the other game between Clemson and Ohio State in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, we will find out soon enough.

Bottom Line..
