The St Louis Blues Have Won The Stanley Cup After Beating the Boston Bruins 4-1 In Game Seven On Wednesday Night At TD Garden. This Was a Special Moment For the St Louis Blues Because As You Recall They Were Down and Out, I'll Get that In Minute. But The Blues Did It With a Special Run Of Winning 30 Of their Last 49 Games to Get to This Moment, And What a Moment It Was, It's the First Stanley Cup For Blues In Their 51 Year History As a Franchise. But It's The Way They Did It Is What's Going to Have Everybody Talking.

Ryan O'Reilly Was Named MVP Of the NHL Playoffs And What a Tear He Went On During the Post Season, 23 Points Including a Six HUGE Points In the Cup Finals with One Goal And Five Assists. He Earned The Conn Smyth Trophy In My Opinion. O'Reilly Was the Go To Player During the Postseason So My Congratulation To Ryan O'Reilly For Winning the Conn Smyth and Being Named MVP Of The Playoffs and My Hats Go Off to You.

There Is Another Player In Mind For MVP Honors Or at Least Rookie Of the Year. I Know He Had a Couple Of Bad Games But Other Than That He Was Excellent. His Name Is Jordan Binnington. And He Was Fantastic In Game Seven With 32 Saves. Binnington Was Named the Starting Goalie Back In January 7th When the Blues Were Struggling And He Helped Pick The Franchise Back Up And that's How The Blues Did It. But All In All Jordan Binnington Was Not the Only Piece Of the Puzzle For the St Louis Blues It Was Also The Front Office Getting Rid Of Michael Yao And They Brought In Craig Berube.

Blues Head Coach Craig Berube Was Brought In As the Acting Head Coach Back In November. Then Everything Fell Into Place For a Magical Run After the All-Star Break. Everybody Was Believing In Themselves And then The Playoffs And What The Blues Did In The Playoffs Was Wild. They Were Winning Games Coming From Behind And they Are the Fourth Team Ever To Win The Stanley Cup With a Losing Record At Home In The Playoffs. The Beat The Bruins Three Straight In Their Building, Now That's Incredible.

And The Numbers For The Stanley Cup Finals Is What's Going to Have Everybody Talking. The Blues Won The Cup Despite They Got Outscored By The Bruins In the Seven Game Series 22-18. The Blues Home Record During the Playoffs Is What Stuck Out To Me. The Blues Were 6-7 At Home And 10-3 On The Road And All I Have to Say About That Is WOW!!!!!!!!!!.

Now For The Other Side, The Boston Bruins...

What Went Wrong For The Bruins In The Cup Finals. Let's Begin With Game 2. Tuukka Rask Gave Up the Game Winner In Game Two In Overtime. Then They Would Go On To Lose Three Straight at TD Garden. Rask Must Have Laid a VERY ROTTEN EGG In The Middle Of The Boston Harbor Before Game Seven Because He Was Just Awful In Goal On Wednesday. Rask Chocked In the Game, He Gave Up Four Goals And He Did Have 16 Saves On Wednesday Night In Game Seven. But On a Night Where The Bruins Needed Rask To Be Red Hot Was STONE COLD!!!!!!.

There Are a Few Other Players Who Get the Blame For The Bruins Losing The Stanley Cup. Patrice Bergeron, He Was Not a Factor With The Exceptions Of Games Three And Six. And In Game Seven He Gave No Effort What So Ever And He's Gets Some Blame. The Other Bruin That Comes to Mind Is Brad Marchand, He Was Of In La-La Land With 8 Seconds Left In the First Period When The Blues Went Up 2-0 And He Gave the Blues a Gift Along With Tuukka Rask. And Then There's Zdeno Chara, He Was Not Much Of a Factor In The Stanley Cup Finals Either and Let Me Say This About Chara, I Think It's Time For Him To Hang it Up And Retire, He's 42 Years Old and He Has Nothing Left to Prove. So To Chara Hang it Up Before Something Really Bad Happens.

Now Here's My Take On the Stanley Cup Finals...

The St Louis Blues Won the Stanley Cup Because they Wanted It More. Go Back To January 7th. The Blues Were Dead Last In the League And they Were Down and Out. The Oddsmakers In Vegas Had the Blues as a 250-1 Longshot to Win the Cup and then Everything Came together. They Had a New Starting Goalie and a New Head Coach In Craig Berube Who Really Made A lot Of Changes and The Blues Were Red Hot. They Went 10-8 In The Post Season And Despite the Fact That The Blues Were 6-7 At Home They Got the Job Done. My Congratulation Go Out To The St Louis Blues For Finally Winning the Stanley Cup For the First Time In Their Franchise History.

With Watch Parties At The Enterprise Center And At Busch Stadium The Blues Fans Were Out All Over the City And the Blues Really Travel Well Because I Saw A lot Of Blues Fans In Boston On Wednesday Night And The Celebration For The Blues Fans Started Really With About Eight Minutes Left In Game Seven When the Blues Went Up 4-0. Yes I Know Boston Scored Late But It Was a Consolation Goal As The St Louis Blues Just Dominated Game 7, Bottom Line.

Now As Far as The Boston Bruins Go, They Got a Beatdown That They Deserved Because they Went into Game Seven All Confident That They Were Coming Home to Bring Home The Cup. Well When Bergeron, Marchand and Chara Are Not a Factor You're Going To Lose and then When Your Starting Goalie In Tuukka Rask, The Franchise Of the Team Gives Up Four Goals And Gets Pulled With about Five Minutes Left It Becomes a Nightmare.

These Four Boston Bruins Players Get the Blame For Losing the Stanley Cup In My Opinion.

Patrice Bergeron.

Brad Marchand.

Zendo Chara.

And Now the Player Who Gers The Most Blame Tuukka Rask.

And If you Look At The Numbers You Will See Why.

And One Last Thing Before I go.

ON BEHALF OF THIS COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS FAN...

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ST LOUIS BLUES FOR WINNING THE STANLEY CUP IN 2019...

AND THANK YOU FOR SHUTTING THE BOSTON BRUINS UP...
