Last season, a lot of people criticised DeMar DeRozan’s choice of shots. They said he took too many difficult shots, but wasn’t a great shooter like Steph Curry or Kevin Durant. Well, it seems like he took it to heart, because his scoring this season thus far has been phenomenal.

In the 2015-16 campaign, he shot the ball 44.6 percent (7.9 FGM-17.7 FGA). But in three games this season, DeRozan is shooting nearly twice as many times per game (14 FGM-26 FGA), while maintaining a higher average with 53.8 percent. Additionally, if you view the clips from the games he played this season so far, you’ll see that he is still taking the same types of shots as last season (albeit, he is attacking the basket more this season).

Check out his most recent game (via FreeDawkins), where the Toronto Raptors played the Denver Nuggets. The Raptors went on to win this game 105-102. DeRozan scored 33 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Kyle Lowry chipped in with 29 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals:

Even though this is very early in the season, do you think DeRozan's shot has improved and do you think he can keep up this amazing offense? And, if he is able to keep it up, do you think it can help him and the Raptors get to the NBA finals? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
