The Philadelphia Eagles sign QB Nick Foles to a two-year contract worth $11 million with $7 million guaranteed.

The 28-year old will become the backup to QB Carson Wentz, which means that QB Chase Daniels is likely on his way out.

Nick Foles spent the first three years of his NFL career with the Eagles before playing one season each with the Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs.

The signal caller had a spectacular season in 2013 when he took over as Philadelphia’s starter after QB Michael Vick got injured. He wound up passing for 2891 yards in 13 games and had 27 touchdowns and 2 interceptions for a passer rating of 119.2. He led the Eagles to a 10-6 record and the NFC East division title but lost to the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card Round. His 7 touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders on 3 November 2013 tied an NFL record.
